Merry Christmas everyone!
I'm here in Bowmanville, Ontario for the holidays. Jeff and I arrived here on December 19th around 9:00am. We had to leave for the airport at 3:00am becuase it takes a couple hours to get there from Pinawa and we had to be at the airport an hour early because we have pets and checking in with them takes longer.
Oh my God the checkin experience, let me freakin' tell you about THAT! So I went through the metal scanner and I knew that I was going to go off because I was carrying Sampras and his collar always makes it go off. After I put him back in his carrier this big, butchy, freak security lady started to scan me with the hand held scanner. I swear to God it must have been broken because it beeped on me in every single spot, even spots with no metal at all! Oh it gets better... the butch lady actually made me undo my jeans in front of at least 50 people and then she proceeded to put her huge disgusting hands down my pants, with all these strangers looking at me! She even touched my bare ass and my... lady parts! Ugh, worst experinece of my life. I was almost going to cry I swear. And then after all that she made me go through, nothing was wrong of course and I was free to go. You know, I saw a sign there that said if someone was going to search you like that they had to take you to a private room. I should sue damn it, it was so embarassing! At least the flight was smooth and nice. Fucking Winnipeg Airport... UGH!
ANYWAYS, today is Christmas so I'll tell you what we got. It'll put me in a better mood. The big gift that I got from my parents was a JVC Everio digital camcorder. I have been wanting one of those things for about 5 years now. There are lots of different versions of it and mine is the High Capacity one that holds 2 SD memory cards. We don't have a card yet though, we are getting one tomorrow. I can't wait to use it, I'm so excited! I also got an alarm clock, a family photo in a nice frame, a Nintendo DS game, and lots of other little things like stocking stuffers and stuff. Jeff's parents gave him some money to buy whatever he wanted and they gave me a nice shirt and some snow pants that I desperatly needed because God damn it's cold where I live! Overall it was a pretty awesome Christmas. We still don't have plans for New Year's Eve though. We are going back to Manitoba on January 3rd.
I told Chris I would put this last part in lol: Chris and Jeff are playing Halo 3 on XBox 360 right now and Chris will not get off and let me play Scene It on XBox. JERK! Hahaha.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
Christmas is in 10 days!! More importantly though, I'm coming home to Ontario this Saturday, only 4 days away!! I'm so excited to be going home because I miss my family and friends and if I had stayed here in Manitoba for Christmas, Jeff and I would have been pretty damn lonely. Practically all of the people we know are spending Christmas somewhere other than here. I can't really have Christmas without my family, what kind of Christmas would that be? Besides, what's a Christmas without "Ashley Presents: Christmas Eve Slumber Party Ooooooooooooh Nine!"? It's going to be great!
So what else has been happening? Well I had to go see a dietitian because my cholesterol levels are a bit too high for my doctor's liking. It's mostly genetic though. My Dad has high cholesterol. I'm really glad that I went to see the dietitian though because she wrote out a meal plan for me and it tells me exactly what I can and can't eat. Before I wasn't too sure and I would make a bad food choice and not even realize it. Now I can go grocery shopping and know exactly what I need. I really just need to eat more fish (which I love, so that's not a problem at all), more bran, and less sugars. Oh and absolutely NO cheese products, because apparently cheese raises cholesterol like no other food there is. That's fine though, I was kind of going off cheese anyways, I don't really like it. Jeff is also buying me an elliptical in January because staying active helps to lower cholesterol and I can't be active for half of the year because winter lasts for 6 months here and I am allergic to the cold. Having the elliptical will be great because then I can workout indoors. I have to go back in June for another test to see if my cholesterol has gone down. Hopefully with my new diet and new elliptical, it will go down no problem.
Oh I also wanted to say that I got my final mark back from my Bookkeeping and Accounting course... 79.41%! I thought I failed for sure. I also learned that 28 people dropped out before the course was over! It was hard, but not THAT hard. Oh well, at least I did well.

I'm Free! For Now...
Hey guys, sorry for the long absence, I've just been so busy with school. I had a final project that was a HUGE pain the ass. I thought I would have to get an extension on it and everything. Jeff gave me confidence though and I made it through it, I even got 91% on it! I'm really happy about that. At first my professor gave me the wrong mark and it said I got 116% percent on it. I emailed him and was like "Um, something seems not right here..." Damn me and honesty, he would have never noticed if I didn't say anything! Oh well, 91% is still really good and I'm really proud of myself. It definitely boosted my confidence level. I took the exam last Saturday in Winnipeg at 9am. I don't have my mark for it yet, but even if I failed, I still passed the course. I don't think I failed though... hopefully. *fingers crossed* So now I don't have anymore school! Well, I am probably starting the second course in my program in February or March, but I still have a lot of free time until then. The next course in my program is Website Development and Design and it's only 3 months long. It should be super easy since it teaches you how to make a website using HTML and I already know how to do that.
So now all I have to do is sit around. Oh wait... CHRISTMAS IS COMING!! Yes folks, today is December 1st and that means Christmas season is officially here. Well, it was here 2 weeks ago when the Toronto Santa Claus Parade was on, but Jeff wouldn't let me start celebrating Christmas until after his birthday, which was November 25th. We went to Jennifer's Restaurant for Jeff's birthday dinner. His birthday just happened to fall on a Wednesday and every Wednesday is all-you-can-eat pork schnitzel at Jennifer's for $9.50. Jeff is obsessed with it. I don't like it, I always get the shrimp dinner when we go there. He had fun though, a bunch of our friends went with us.
Sooooo yeah, Christmas = 24 days away! AND we fly home in 18 days! I'm so excited!

The End Is In Site!
I am almost done my Bookkeeping and Accounting course! It's the first course in my Small Business Management program at Red River College here in Manitoba. I finished my final project on Tuesday and mailed it out to my professor that evening. It was probably the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. It's basically all math, and I am terrible at math. I managed to get through it though, with Jeff's encouragement. Now the only thing I have left is the exam which is next Friday. I am nervous of course, but mostly because I've never been to the campus since I am taking my courses through correspondence and I am afraid I will get lost in the school or something! I don't think I will though because Jeff and I are going on Saturday to check the school out and find the room that the exam is being held in. I'm excited! The next course I am going to take I think is Web Site Development. I have to take 6 courses in the program and I have 8 years to finish them, so I'm not really in that big of a hurry. I like how I am able to be flexible with my time and still get a degree in something that will help me further down the road when I start my at-home dog grooming business. I am really excited to start that because everyone is supposed to enjoy what they do professionally and I know what I will just LOVE that!
Other than that, nothing else has really been going on. Jeff is working the lights for the town play for the next 3 nights so I am here with Dixie and Sampras. It's pretty boring. I am going to the play tomorrow night to watch it. It's supposed to be really funny, plus it's a dinner theatre so you get a meal served to you while you watch the play. The food better be good for $35, that's all I have to say about that haha! I've heard it's supposed to be really good, so I'm looking forward to it.
On a final note... CHRISTMAS IS IN 36 DAYS!!! Also, I am going home exactly one month from today. I am so excited! I find that I am writing how excited I am in each blog post lol. Oh well... CHRISTMAS!! I'm a little obsessed hee hee.
Goodnight all!

♫ Don't Rock The Jukebox, I Wanna Hear Some Jones! ♪
Haha, the title of this blog is the name of the song that just came on lol. It's by Alan Jackson. I found this free online radio on Shoutcast called 181.FM 90's Country and I am obsessed with it! 90's country was so much better than todays country, well aside from Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley *swoon*.
Jeff is at band practice and badminton tonight. I was working on my final project for school, but I decided to take a break from it. I went through it and kind of realized that it's not as big as I thought it would be. I just tend to make a big deal over things that are important to me and I get all worried and freaked out. I think I'll be okay though, I'm pretty sure. Hopefully, haha.
Remembrance Day is tomorrow. I always get really emotional on that day because my Great-Poppy Daley was a prisoner of war in WWII and both my grandfathers were in the navy. Also, my Aunt Anita is in the army. My family has a lot of military background. I am going to watch the memorial service on CBC tomorrow and have a moment of silence. You all should too!
I've started back up with my 10-Minute Trainer again. Jeff bought it for me a while back but I never really got into it though. I need to use it more often though, I am out of shape! I have started to use it every single day and it really is a good workout. Like, I am sweating so bad when I'm done and I'm like "WATER... NEED WATER!!" There are 5 different sessions that you can do: cardio, lower body, total body, abs, and yoga flex. A schedule came with the kit so that I know which session to do on which day. The kit also came with a bunch of other neat things like a resistance band with handles, a measuring tape to measure problem areas before and after, a proper eating book, and lots of other cool things. I highly recommend it. Jeff bought it off the infomercial and paid over $100 American for it, but after that (unfortunately) we found out that Wal-Mart sells it for about $50.
Christmas is in 45 days and I'm coming home in 40 days!! WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!! In case you can't tell, I'm VERY excited hee hee. If my sisters are reading this, you better get your asses ready for Ashley's Christmas Eve Slumber Party '09, it's gonna be great!
I better get going, Jeff is going to be home soon. Bye!

Bored...
I'm so bored right now. Jeff has been at the town play practice since 5:00pm and it's now 10:04pm. He's not acting or anything, he's running the lights. He says its really cool. So while he's out doing that, I'm sitting here at home with Dixie and Sampras, listening to a 90's country radio station I found online. "Don't Rock The Jukebox" by Alan Jackson is playing right now.
Wow, I just read back I wrote in that first paragraph and holy crap I sound like the blandest person on earth!
On to something more interesting. I'm coming home in 42 days!! AND... CHRISTMAS IS IN 47 DAYS!!!! Obviously I'm extremely excited. We bought our tickets and everything is a go. We are going home on December 19th and coming back to Manitoba on January 3rd. We even went out and bought Dixie a new carrier for the plane. Her old one is kind ruined since she saw my mom last summer and busted right through it to get to her lol. This new one seems to be more sturdier. Hopefully.
Okay Jeff just came home, so I'm going to cut this one short.
Bye!

Halloween Is Over... 53 Days Til CHRISTMAS!!
First off, how awesome is this kick-ass Rudolph template?! As soon as I saw it I was like "That is the most awesome think I have seen in a long time, I must have it!" Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is my all time favourite Christmas special. I am so obsessed with it that I watch it all year round, and seeing as how Christmas is only 53 days away, I decided to put this template up to celebrate the upcoming holidays. Christmas = my one true love!
However, last night was Halloween so I suppose I should talk about that. Jeff's friend Adam is here for the weekend from Ontario and we all went to a Halloween party at a friends house here in town. I dressed up as a witch, Jeff was a mad scientist, and Adam was a pirate. The party was really fun. I just wish I wasn't so tired. I have been diagnosed with having really low iron which makes me tired all the time and I am on a prescription for it, but I don't think it's working because I am still exhausted all the time. We won the best carved pumpkin contest though. Jeff carved the Headless Horseman's face into the pumpkin. It looked really awesome. Overall it was a really great night.
Jeff and Adam have been playing some X-Men game on X-Box for like 6 hours now! I don't know how they can play a video game for that long, I know I couldn't. Whatever though, it's keeping them out of my way while I make dinner. I'm making a whole roasted chicken with Swiss Chalet sauce, French fries, and corn. I love my roasted chicken, it's my most favourite thing that I make for dinner. I actually have to go check on it now though. Bye for now!

Busy, Busy, Busy
Hey all. I know I haven't posted in about a week, but I've been really busy with school and other things. Last week I had to read 6 chapters for school and each chapter is about 50 pages. Plus I had to do review questions and problem applications for each chapter. So yeah, last week was pretty hectic for me. Plus on Friday I didn't get an school work done because Jeff stayed home from work. He had an ear ache and pretty sore throat, so I had to take him of him and do other things around our apartment. He's better now though, so I should have a pretty quiet week to do even MORE school work. Yay... *rolls eyes*.
I was rewarded for my hard work last week though. Jeff took me out and bought me a new purse! I basically get a new purse every season. This is my new fall purse. It's a deep purple colour, so it matches the fall colours well. I really like it. We also had lunch with Jeff's cousin yesterday. He lives in Ontario, but he came to Winnipeg with his university's basketball team to play against U of M and U of W. Jeff was happy to see him. We went to The Olive Garden for lunch. I don't really like it there. It taste good at the beginning, but I get crazy heartburn about an hour after I finish eating there. It sucks.
This week I only have from Monday-Thursday to do some school work, so I really have to buckle down. The reason is because on Friday, Jeff's friend Adam is coming to visit for 4 days and we have to pick him up at the airport at 10:00am. It should be fun.
Oh and there is so super great news to announce: We're coming home for Christmas! YESSSSSSSS!! Holy crow I am so excited about this! Christmas is my all time FAVOURITE holiday, and I don't mean for the presents. Christmas is my favourite time of the year because it looks good with all the decorations, it smells good because of baking and cinnamon candles, it sounds good because of Christmas songs, and it feels good because you get to spend time with family. This year, we were almost not going to go home because we didn't think we would have the money. However, we have been budgeting really well and trying to keep our expenses to a minimum, and we are good to go! We are both going to be flying. At first Jeff was going to be driving with some people from Pinawa who are also from Ontario, but I talked him out of it because driving that distance would take too many days out of his time at home and I really didn't want him driving that distance in the winter. It's just too dangerous. Holy, I cannot wait for "Ashley Presents: Christmas Eve Slumber Party '09!" Haha, I have a slumber party with my sisters every Christmas Eve and I annoy the crap out of them lol. It's awesome.
ANYWAYS... I'm off to do some more school work. Bye!

Pub Crawlin' and Such
This weekend Jeff and I and just about all of our friends from Pinawa went into Winnipeg for a pub crawl to celebrate fall birthdays. There are so many fall birthday's, it's actually kind of spooky. We stayed the night with Jason, Deana, and Paul at Jay and Leah's apartment, someone people stayed at someone else's house, and some people stayed in a hotel.
We went to two places to drink. Well, I didn't drink because I quit drinking awhile back. If I have even half a drink I get really sick. I can still have fun without drinking though, so it's not a loss at all. The first place we went was The Toad. It was fun, it was just like a regular pub. We stayed there for most of the night. After that we went to another place called The G-Martini Bar. I really wish we would have just stayed at The Toad. The G-Martini was more like a club and I am NOT the club type. I have never been to a club in all my life. The music was so loud you had to scream to the person sitting next to you in order for them to hear you. Plus the place was so tiny! It was just a small room in the corner of some building and it was so cramped. Thank God we only stayed there for a little while. Jeff wanted to leave because he wasn't feeling too well. Overall, it was a really fun night though.
Right now I am just sitting here on the couch watching Dr. Phil. Only because nothing else is on. Dr. Phil is not even a real doctor, he's a complete moron. I hate how he always says "When we come back, I'm gonna tell what I think about this". F U Dr Phil, no one wants to know what you think about anyone or anything! Okay getting off track here lol. I think I'm just going to have a nap or something.

Busy School Week
Right now I'm just taking a 15 minute break from school work. You see, I read my schedule and thought I only had to do QUESTIONS 19-22. It turns out I really have to do UNITS 19-22, with all the questions that go with them. Hee hee... oops. So I've got a lot of work to do. It's okay though, I only have to read 50 pages in the textbook, so it's not really that bad. I just wish I was learning something more interesting. Don't get me wrong, I want to do this because I need it to complete my Small Business Management course, it's just so boring! I think the next course I want to do in the program is Marketing. I read a bit about it and people seem to really like it and it's just really interesting to them. Well, back to work!
Oh by the way, I tried to get Dixie to do my work, but she seemed just as uninterested as I am:

New Template (After 3 Hours!)
I decided to get a new template because I thought the old one I had on made it too hard to read my posts. I found a really awesome one, but OF COURSE it was messed up and would not work. So after searching for 3 hours for a good Halloween template, I just decided to make one. This template is a 100% Ashley original. Well not really. I kind of took the pics for the background and the header from Google images. Oh well lol.
Mmmm, Jeff is making turkey soup and my apartment smells so good right now! Dinner is going to be awesome tonight. Hmmm, 3 awesome dinners in a row: Red Lobster, Thanksgiving, and now turkey soup. We are spoiled!

Happy Birthday To Me & Happy Thanksgiving To All!
Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll!
Yes, today is the day when people all over Canada make way too much food, eat about 10% of it, and then wonder to do with the gigantic amount of leftovers. All while falling asleep before being able to clean up the humongous mess. Good ole' turkey day!
Jeff and I have a nice Thanksgiving dinner at home, just the two of us and Dixie and Sampras. I cooked the dinner. I made mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing (I cheated though, I bought the boxed stuffing hee hee), carrots, gravy (also store bought, but at least it was Club House brand), and a 10 pound turkey. Everything turned out delicious. We roasted the turkey following some directions we found on the Food Network website. First, yesterday we took the frozen turkey and soaked it in a brine made of salt, brown sugar, and water. This is supposed to do something to the proteins in the meat and make the bird super moist. It also helps with browning the skin. So it soaked in there for 7 hours. Then we dried it off and put it in the fridge over night. Today, we first cooked it for 1 hour at 400*F, then 2 hours at 250*F, then back up to 400*F for the last hour, basting only in the last half hour. It turned out so moist and so tender! We printed the directions so we can use it again next year. We even gave Dixie and Sampras there own little thanksgiving dinner in their bowls. Dixie finished hers in like 10 seconds, but Sampras still isn't sure what to think of it. He keeps going up to his dish every 15 minutes and taking small bites and then running off with it. He's weird. I also bought a Sara Lee apple pie, the BEST apple pie ever, but we were too full to cook it. I'll probably make it tomorrow, when I take all the leftover turkey (SO MUCH!) and make turkey soup. All in all, a great Thanksgiving dinner!
Yesterday was my 22nd birthday. Jeff took me out to Red Lobster for dinner. I had wood-fire grilled lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops on rice. It was so good! Red Lobster is my favourite restaurant, but that is because seafood is my favourite food. Jeff doesn't really like it that much. The only thing he likes is crab, so he had crab legs and steak. Mmmm, I want Red Lobster right now! Too bad it's so damn expensive. Our meal came to $86, and that is with a $10 tip. It's a once a year thing only. Jeff got me some makeup and new makeup brushes as I stated in a previous post. My dad told me on the phone yesterday that he sent me the Ferris Bueller's Day Off collector's edition DVD in the mail for a birthday present. It should be here on Tuesday and I am so excited! That is one of my all time favourite movies! "Bueller... Bueller..." ha ha ha!
Okay so Jeff just looked at over at me and said "Are you blogging?" I said yes and he said "Are you hate blogging me?" Then he pretended to type and say "My boyfriend is such a dick..." So I told him I'm putting that in here lol. Now he is shaking his head. Okay he's back to watching Gladiator now. I don't know what it is about this stupid movie, everyone seems to like it. Well I hate it! Down with Gladiator! Up with Ferris Bueller's Day Off!
And with that note, I'm done.

Boredness Is Taking Over
I'm so bored right now! My foot is feeling a bit better and I can't even go out for a small walk around because it's raining and cold. It's been cloudy and rainy for over a week now. Depressing really. I just finished watching my Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer DVD. I don't care if it's only the beginning of October, I watch that movie all year round! It's my favourite movie. It really cheers me up when I am feeling gloomy.
My birthday is this Saturday. I'm turning 22. Nothing special. Jeff is taking me to Red Lobster for dinner. He already bought me some makeup and new makeup brushes about a week ago, so I'm not expecting a gift. I just hope it's a romantic dinner.
Blah... maybe I'll have a nap. Damn you dreary days!

New Theme + Random Things
I decided to change the theme to better suite the month, so a Halloween theme it is! I love Halloween. Not for just the candy either. I like dressing up and having a party with friends. This Halloween should be fun because Jeff's best friend Adam is coming from Ontario for the 4 day Halloween weekend.
On to other things. My toes on my sore foot are hurting so bad I feel like crying. This only started on Saturday. They didn't hurt at all when the injury first happened. Jeff said he is going to take me to the hospital if they still hurt after a couple more days. I can describe the pain only like this: It feels like when you have Charley Horse in your leg, but its in my toes and it's constant. Owweee! I just wish is would all go away. I NEED to clean this place. I mean, Jeff has been helping me out with the cleaning since I hurt myself, but he just doesn't clean the way I clean. I have a very strict style lol. I am pretty much OCD with cleaning.
It's supposed to SNOW on... guess when... October 10th. Yeah, my freakin' birthday. That is just the birthday gift I would have chosen for myself. *rolls eyes*. Damn you Mother Nature! Whatever. It's not stopping me from going to Red Lobster with Jeff for my birthday dinner. No way am I missing all you can eat shrimp fest. I'm not eating for 2-3 days before so I can be good and empty lol.
Well that's about it for now. I'm so tired, I haven't been sleeping well. I keep having weird dreams. Like last night I had a dream that my family was swimming at a lake and our dogs, Dallas and Scotia, got chased by a skunk, then a bear... then some giant leeches. It was messed.

The Week In Review
Ugh. Talk about a week from hell!
So it started last Saturday with the 5 hour wait in the hospital to determine what was wrong with my foot. Turned out I tore a bunch of tendons and ligaments. So I've been sitting around doing nothing because my foot is in a cast and I can't put an pressure on it or the plaster cast with break.
Then on Monday night I woke up in extreme pain and had to take the cast off. It's only a half cast, so I can put it back on with tensor bandages. It was then that I noticed my toes had gone completely numb. They are still numb TODAY! They are not blue or anything so it's not a circulation issue, it's probably just swelling around the nerves. But come on! What else could happen with this damn foot?
Well I'll tell you what else can happen. Jeff has been coming home at lunch to take Dixie outside because we live in an apartment and she needs to be taken out and I obviously can't do it because I can't walk. However yesterday Jeff had to take the car in for an oil change and wasn't able to make it home, so I had to take her out. I took the cast off and decided to limp down the hall and down the stairs. As soon as I took one step down the stairs I head a popping noise and then felt extreme pain. I managed to take Dixie out still, but my foot swelled right up again and hurt like hell. I am not supposed to walk on it for 2 weeks, but what was I supposed to do? There was no one else who could have taken her out. So now I'm back in the cast and back on Ibuprofen.
To top it all off, it is currently 9:55am and it's +3°C outside. Yeah. We totally skipped fall here in Manitoba. It's freaking winter out there! The only thing we are missing is the snow and that won't be far off I'm afraid. This really sucks for me, I am feeling the depression set in already. I have Cold Urticaria (allergic to cold) so I won't be able to be outside until around next May. I mean I can still go shopping and stuff, but I have to wear like 50 layers of clothing and make sure I have extra strength allergy pills on me at all times or I could potentially die. Damn. I love Canada, but ever since I was diagnosed with this 2 years ago, I hate living here. I want to move somewhere where it is warm all year round and I don't even have to deal with hives again. Somewhere like Arizona. Or Australia. Either one would work.
So yeah, that's my week. Depressing I know. Hopefully next week, even though I still won't be able to walk around yet, will be better.

It's Just NOT My Week
Ugh what a week, what a week...
My leg is still in a damn cast. There is a new development though. My big toe on the casted foot is now totally numb and has been for over a day now. No idea why. It's not the swollen part of my foot, that is by the pinky toe which is fine. The toe is not turning blue, so circulation is still good. It's just completely numb. So annoying! I tried to sleep with the cast off last night hoping it would make the numbness go away. Not only did that not work at all, but my foot hurt even worse this morning. So back in the cast I go. Thank God Jeff only works 15 minutes away and can come home and take Dixie outside, because there is no way I can walk on this foot. It's a good thing I only have to be like this for 2 weeks, because if I had broken my foot and had to have been like this for 6+ weeks, I would have gone freakin' insane!
Another thing that totally makes this NOT my week is waking up this morning and having FROST on the ground outside and the temperature be 0°C! WHAT THE HELL?! It's not even October yet! Stupid Manitoba. This is just what a person with Cold Urticaria does not need. Oh and to make matters worse, my asshole landlord, who doesn't even live in this town so he doesn't care about anyone but his fat ass, has not turned the main heat on in our building. So I am sitting here wearing one of Jeff's huge hoodies and I'm wrapped in a blanket. I can actually see my breath in my own apartment, and all the windows are shut. It's so cold, Dixie and Sampras are actually under the blanket too, and I didn't put them there, they climbed under it themselves. I hate this building. If I could move someone else right now, I would it a heartbeat.
I guess the only thing that I am looking forward to this week is a new set of makeup brushes I ordered from E.L.F.! I ordered the 12 piece professional brush set. Here is what they look like:
YAY! This set sells for $12.00, a dollar a brush. HOWEVER, this website has crazy ass deals. I got this entire set, 12 brushes... for 50% off. $6.00!! AMAZING! I read lots of reviews on them and apparently they are pretty good quality too. They should be in the mail this week. I know I already have my 15 piece brush set from Coastal Scents, but it's always good to have more that one set in case one is dirty or being cleaned or something. Overall, good investment I say! (Oh and I DID get a brush holder like the one I posted a pic of a few days ago, only mine looks way more awesome. I'll post a pic when I can.) Of course, if Canada Post takes their sweet ass time (which they usually do) and the brushes are not in this week, it will add to the NOT part of Just NOT My Week!

"Severe Torn Tendons"
Well Jeff came home around 1:30pm yesterday afternoon and took me to the emergency room. After a total of 5 HOURS of waiting (slowest time I have ever had in a hospital, made worse by the extreme pain I was in) the doctor told me I have severe torn tendons in my left foot and ankle. I am now in a cast from the bottoms of my toes to just below my knee and I am not allowed to put any pressure on it at all, so basically I can't walk. Oh and to make matters ever more worse, the hospital only had crutches for people 6 feet and taller. I am 5'1. Yeah. Great.
All is not lost though. Jeff and 2 of his friend, Yuri and Paul, got a little more than tipsy last night and made me some crutches out of 2 hockey sticks, a tree branch, and some foam padding from a sleeping pad used for camping. I was extremely nervous at first to use them, I mean they WERE built buy 3 drunk guys, but actually they work pretty well. Not as well as real crutches do, but they will do for now.
I have to have this cast on for about 3-4 days, then I can take it off but I still am not supposed to walk on it for about 2 weeks. Oh and also, I am supposed to ice it to make it heal faster but I can't because I am allergic to cold. So it's going to talk longer to heal. BOO!

Worst Pain Of My Life!
Holy hell. I want to cut my foot off I swear to God.
Last night when we got home from Winnipeg I was sitting down. When I stood up, I kind of rolled my foot and ended up putting all my weight on the outer side of my left foot. It hurt a little bit, but it was okay. However, it has done nothing but get worse. It is now to the point where I cannot put any pressure on it at all without having extreme pain. I don't even have to put any pressure on it at all to feel like hell.
I'm pretty sure I broke it or at least fractured it. I put a tensor bandage on it to try to ease the pain, but it is not working at all. It's not really swollen though, that's the thing. There is definitely something wrong though. Ugh, it's always something with me!
I'm going to the hospital this afternoon once Jeff gets home from some Toastmasters meeting in Winnipeg. I'll update on how that goes.

Anyone Wanna Do My School Work?
Huh, anyone? Any takers? Anyone at all?
I'm sitting here waiting for my lunch to cook (mmmm, fish fillets!) and looking at my mound of school work I am in the middle of. Accounting is harder than I though it would be that's for sure. I mean, it's not really HARD work, its just it takes sooooooo long to write out what seems like a million Balance Sheets and Income Statements and Ledgers. I know what I'm doing and it's easy stuff, my hand just feels like it's about to fall off. However, I can't complain. I am extremely happy that I am finally in college. The 4 year break was a bit too much. I didn't have the means to go then though. Jeff is paying for my college, but not for all of it hopefully. I plan on getting a job after this first course, SOMEWHERE in this crap town. They are opening a new retirement home soon and I am going to apply there. I feel bad that Jeff is paying for this, but it really shows how much he loves me and I am so thankful that he is doing this for me.
Anyways my fish is almost done. I have to scarf it down and then back to work! BLAH!

Friday, Friday, Friday!
It's finally Friday! Yippee! I love weekends because Jeff is home and we can spend some time together.
Tonight we are heading into the shithole of Canada for some shopping. That's right folks, Winnipeg. Winnipeg is by far the WORST town in all of Canada. The crime rate is so high it's insane, and it's not just crime committed on adults. In the past month one woman kidnapped a baby and smashed its face into a sidewalk, and a man stabbed his own baby in the head with a knife! What the hell is wrong with these sick people? What could a baby possibly do to make some that angry. It can't even talk yet! People like this need to be in jail for life with no chance of parole ever. I don't even know why parole exists really. You are sentenced to a time, you should serve that full time. If parole didn't exist, that Jaycee Dugard who was kidnapped in the United States would never have been kidnapped. GET RID OF PAROLE DAMMIT! I hate the so called 'justice system' in both the United States AND in Canada. The thing I hate most of all is that sham of a youth justice act we have here. I mean, a person can kill someone at the age of 17 on purpose, confess to it, and only serve like a year in juvenile detention. F that. Send the bastard to jail for life! Damn laws. It just really upsets me.
Okay enough ranting lol. I hope that when we go shopping tonight Jeff will let me buy a cabinet or something for all my makeup. I have no room for it, it's cluttering up the desk I am supposed to be using for school. I also need some type of container to hold all my brushes in. I am looking for something similar to this:
It's really just a vase or glass jar with some filler to hold the brushes up. I'm pretty sure I can get that all at Dollarama. At least I hope I can. Right now my brushes are squished into the leatherette brush roll they came with, and that's not really good for the bristles. That roll is only supposed to be used for when I travel. Plus I just ordered 12 new brushes a couple days ago and they don't come with a roll so I will have nothing to hold them.
Well I better get off the computer and start my day. I have to take Dixie for a walk and then I have to force myself to get some school work done. Self-directed correspondence is hard because you really have to self-discipline yourself. It's like being on a diet and having your favourite cake sitting in front of you at all times lol.
I'll talk to you all later! Bye!

Makeup Haul
I NEVER used to wear makeup before. All through school I just never wore it. My younger sisters did. I guess I just never had the need, time, or money for it. Now though, due to watching some YouTube makeup gurus, I am OBSESSED with makeup! I have quite the collection too.
Today 2 boxes arrived for me, one from Well.ca and one from E.L.F. Cosmetics. I am addicted to these websites. Well.ca is based in Canada, so the shipping is FREE and almost everything on E.L.F. is $1. I'm not even kidding. They are full sized products too. I'm going to show you some pics of what I got. Some of the things in these pics I've already had, like the things from Coastal Scents. I shop online a alot, it's a good way to find good bargains plus I live in middle of nowhere so it's easier. By the way, this is NOT my full makeup collection. Not even close lol.
Okay so first I have my Well.ca order that arrived today:
Okay so from left to right we have : Nourishing Cuticle Pen, eyeshadow duo in Blueberry, eyeshadow duo in Butter Pecan, creme eyeshadow duo in Blueberry, creme eyeshadow duo in Olive, cream eyeshadow duo in Mocha Swirl, creme eyeshadow duo in Sugar Cookie, brightening eye quad in Pretty N' Pink, and brightening eye quad in Drama. I only received the cuticle pen, the creme eyeshadow in Blueberry and the creme eyeshadow in Olive today. The rest I already had. Everything you see in this pic was only $1 each, and the colour and quality is outstanding. This website is amazing!
Now THIS I also got today from ELF. It was only $20!! Jeff bought it for me for my birthday :). I love him!
AMAZING!! I am in love with this palette! Okay here it what comes in it:
-84 eyeshadow shades
-36 lip gloss shades
-6 blush shades
-4 concealers
-4 shimmer cream shades
-4 bronzer shades
-1 face brush
-1 lip brush
-1 duo eyeshadow applicator
And it was only $20. I don't know about you, but that is a freaking awesome deal. This website and I are going to have a beautiful future together.
I also have some things from Coastal Scents that I got a few months ago that I would like to share with you.
Here is this first:
This is my Coastal Scents cosmetic brush set. (The white brush on the end is an eyeshadow brush from ELF, again $1) Theses brushes are so soft and so easy to use. Well, all except the fan brush, that white and black one in the middle. Waste of space in there. It is crap, doesn't work at all. If you can find this set without the fan brush, buy that one. This set with the leatherette roll was $15.95.
So yeah, that is a tour of about ½ my makeup collection. I have like 6 mascaras and lots of eyeliners and stuff like that, but that doesn't really need to be shown. Maybe I'll do a full makeup collection when I feel like I am done collecting. I don't think I'm finished yet lol. Hope you enjoyed this! Talk to you all later!

I got 3 N.Y.C. lipsticks. They were only $0.99 each! Some people say that N.Y.C. is a bad brand, but I have heard nothing but good things about these lipsticks, and I did my homework. They colours look the same in the picture, but they are really different from each other. They are "English Rose", "Flirty", and "Smooch".
Here is my ELF order. Some things in this pic I already had, but I decided to put them all together.
Now THIS I also got today from ELF. It was only $20!! Jeff bought it for me for my birthday :). I love him!
It comes in the case shown above...
And opens up and folds out to this:
-84 eyeshadow shades
-36 lip gloss shades
-6 blush shades
-4 concealers

Here is this first:
This is my 78 Eyeshadow & Blush Combo Palette. It has 60 eyeshadow shades, 12 highlight shades, and 6 blush shades. This is my favourite thing I own. The colours are so pigmented its crazy. You only need a tiny amount for a dramatic effect. This was $19.95.
The last thing is this:

First Blog!
Yay! Okay I'm really excited about this. I have a blog on MSN Live Spaces, but I needed a change of venue. Plus I only updated that one every 6 months or so. I plan on updating this one a lot more.
So right now I have a HUGE headache and I am really trying to push through this so I can say what I want to say. I guess this is really just going to be an introductory blog.
My name is Ashley Easton and I am 21 years old. Soon to be 22 in October. I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia but I grew up in Bowmanville, Ontario. I now live in Pinawa, Manitoba with my boyfriend Jeff. We moved here 2 years ago when he got a new job after graduating university. We also have 2 pets; a 2 year old West Highland White Terrier name Dixie and a 1 year old ½ Siamese, ½ Domestic Short Haired cat named Sampras. Yes, he is named after the tennis player!
I am currently attending college, but I am doing it through correspondence because Pinawa is in the middle of nowhere and there is virtually no way for me to attend classes on campus. I think it's better this way though because Jeff works during the day and this town is SO quiet, so I have a lot of time to myself to think. I am working towards a certificate in Small Business Management so that one day I can open my own dog grooming business. Right now I am in the middle of the first course in the program, which is Bookkeeping and Accounting for a Small Business. It's okay I guess, kind of boring but that's to be expected.
Today is the first day of autumn, which is actually REALLY depressing for me. I have something called Cold Urticaria. I've only had for the past 3 years, but it's been 3 years of hell. What it is is I am literally allergic to cold. If anything cold comes into contact with my skin, including water or even air, I break out in hives all over my body. It is extremely uncomfortable. Also, if I don't get warm within 5-10 minutes, my blood pressure drops really fast and I end up fainting. Woo freakin' hoo. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, I swear. Allergy pills do not work for it, and there is no cure. HOWEVER... I have read that if you get this in your young adult years (like me) it will only last for 5-10 years, not your whole life. So I guess I have 2-7 years left of this. Great. I also read that only women get this and if I get pregnant while I have it and I get pregnant with a girl, she will have if for the rest of her life. I'm not sure if that is true or not, but I hope it's not. I want a kid before I'm 30 lol.
Okay well I guess that's all for now. I need to go get something for this headache before I explode. Talk to you all later!
